SFT Aviation, the professional flight training organisation, based in Bournmouth, UK, is releasing its fleet of Piper Aztecs. The company is modernising its twin-engine training fleet in preparation for a predicted increase in demand for pilots over the next ten years. SFT reports that it has substantially invested in the currently-produced, four-seater Seminole PA44 to match its extended simulator facilities.

“We are streamlining our operation to cater for an upturn in trainee pilots in what continues to be a competitive market,” said SFT’s managing director, Colin Green. “The Aztecs have served us well. They have helped to school thousands of commercial pilots, during which time they have been maintained by our in-house engineering team. Now they would be an ideal aircraft for an aerial survey or air taxi company.”

SFT’s FNPT II Seminole PA44 simulator with full visuals is the latest addition to a range of single and multi engine aircraft simulators which include a Hawker 400 jet and Frasca 142, representing eight aircraft types. The simulator centre adjoins SFT’s flying school and ground school.
