Letov assumes full control of Raven design
Wolfsberg Aircraft Corp. NV has announced that its Czech design and manufacturing subsidiary in Prague, Letov Air, has taken over the total design and production responsibility for the Raven 257 aircraft from the Evektor-Aerotechnik company in Kunovice. In future, officials say the aircraft will come to be known as the Wolfsberg-Letov Raven 257. Letov Air production facilities, which total 18,000 square metres at the North Prague Letnany Airfield, are being reorganised for the start of series production in June 2001, in parallel with the FAR 23 certification programme. While this is expected to be completed in April 2002, aircraft deliveries will then commence immediately thereafter.
