Used aircraft market is on the slide, says German broker
Pre-owned aircraft are currently none too popular in Europe, according to German broker Winair, Winkler & Feyock. President Fritz Winkler told EBAN: “As far as we can see, used turboprop and jet aircraft are not selling very well in Europe at the moment. One reason is because of the high US dollar exchange rate and another is because of the relatively high prices.”

President Fritz Winkler told EBAN: “As far as we can see, used turboprop and jet aircraft are not selling very well in Europe at the moment. Winair, Winkler & Feyock normally handles used Cheyennes, King Airs plus new and used Piaggio Avantis. At present, the company has one 1983 Cheyenne II and one 1982 Cheyenne II XL for sale.

Said Winkler: “The different Cheyenne models (I, IA, II and II XL ) are popular in the entry-level turboprop market since they offer a good relationship between purchase price, operating cost, performance and comfort.”

He added: “As we speak, it looks like the Citationjets are the most popular business aircraft in Germany and Europe. Selling not so well are the older planes prior to 1980 and aircraft with a poor history.”
