Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics has received German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) certification of its Head-up Guidance System (HGS) on the Bombardier Challenger 604 business jet. Stuttgart based DaimlerChrysler Aviation welcomed the LBA certification in order to activate the HGS on its already provisioned Challenger 604 fleet. Birger Wendt, vp of flight operations said: “We believe HGS is a valuable safety tool, enhancing situational awareness, and helping to keep the pilot attention outside of the cockpit.”
