Servair has begun operating a new Citation Excel from its headquarters in Zurich. With a passenger capability of seven to eight passengers, the aircraft will carry out charter missions to North Africa, to the Middle East and within Europe.

Servair’s Marianne Helbling told EBAN: “The aircraft arrived a few weeks ago and our customers are very pleased with its addition. The special airports we will be able to fly to include Lugano, Samedan, London City, La Môle, St Tropez and Saanen.”

Come the beginning of 2001, Servair will also have a Citation Bravo on offer for its customers, which will also complete missions to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Said Helbling: “We currently operate two Citation IIs and we know that in the near future, we will need several other requirements regarding JAR OPS regulations. That is why we chose the Bravo – it will completely conform to JAR OPS.

“In addition, the Bravo goes a little faster and a little farther than the IIs.”

Nonetheless, says Helbling, the company will retain its two Citation IIs for the foreseeable future.

As concerns Servair’s charter customers, Helbling says that roughly 60 per cent are Swiss, and 40 per cent come from Switzerland’s neighbouring countries. Despite a lot of competition in the region ,Helbling says the company stands out by adhering to its motto: “The customer is always king.”
