A change in tax law in Germany has led to a reduction in executive passengers, according to Krefeld’s All Around Aviation. Ceo Rolf Krause, who owns the company’s Citationjet and King Air 200, told EBAN: “A tax law that has been in effect since the beginning of this year has caused a lot of problems for companies such as ours.
The law-change means that some customers are no longer able to get the tax back for private flights.
“Another reason why our business is not very successful at the moment, is because of the strong US dollar. It is one of the biggest problems that we have. Additionally, in most of the bigger German towns, there are good connections with commercial flights.
“Quite simply, it’s too expensive at the moment for most customers to make private flights.”
Customers who are still booking flights with All Around Aviation generally fly to France, Switzerland, Italy and sometimes to Norway.
