Air Hanson Engineering, Lynton, Osprey to be branded Signature
Some long standing UK FBOs and engineering centres are to be rebranded to bring them into line with their new owner Signature Flight Support's plans for a 'common brand within Europe'. The Lynton Aviation FBOs at Luton and London City airports, and the Osprey FBO at Southampton, will be renamed Signature Flight Support, the same as 51 FBOs worldwide.

Air Hanson Engineering, CSE Engineering in Oxford, Osprey's Southampton engineering facilities and Lynton's in Luton, Blackbushe and Denham will now be called Signature Aircraft Engineering. CSE's Bournemouth Citation Centre will keep its name. BBA Aviation also owns H+S Aviation engine repair and overhaul operations at Portsmouth.

Trevor Trivett, previously managing director of CSE Aviation, will be head of engineering and aircraft sales in Europe. Jonathon Soper, former managing director of charter at Lynton, will be in charge of the FBOs at London City, Luton, Southampton and Zurich. The timing of the name changes has not yet been set.

Signature's network spans 51 FBOs worldwide, including operations at Paris le Bourget and Zurich. The company plans further growth into Europe, says Peter Whitehead, chief executive of BBA Aviation Europe, adding: "We are especially pleased to do so under the Signature brand, which is recognised by business and commercial operators throughout the world."
