US-based Kaiser Air receives JAR-145 certification
The Joint Aviation Authority has authorised KaiserAir, a full-service aviation management company and FBO at Oakland International Airport in the USA, to perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft registered in its 19 member countries. KaiserAir is the only maintenance centre in north California which holds JAR-145 certification - a certificate which is held by less than five per cent of the maintenance facilities in the entire United States. "We expect this new designation to be of major benefit to our European clients, "This means that we can perform routine maintenance or a wide range of repairs while an aircraft is parked here. This is far more convenient for the owner than waiting until he returns to Europe."
