Heli Transair’s purchase and sales department has sold and delivered a Dauphin AS 365N2 to a Norwegian client. A spokesman for the German company said: “It was transferred personally by our flight operations manager Kurt Fries and our managing director accompanied by his family. After an intermediate stop in Denmark, the flight continued via Gothenburg and Oslo directly to our customer’s premises in Tromsø, Norway where the helicopter was finally handed over to the new owner.”
In the present year, Heli Transair says helicopters have been sold to Portugal, the United States and
New Zealand.
The company operates its own aviation maintenance shop, retro-fitting and customising aircraft to the needs of customers. It says that all the aircraft sold up to now have been previously used in its own flight operations.
The spokesman added: “Generally, our fleet consists of 10 helicopters made by manufacturers Agusta, Eurocopter, Bell and Robinson. On average our total flying time adds up to approximately 5,000 hours per year.”
“We know all the pros and cons of the different helicopter types and based on our own diversified fleet we are able to act and assess independently. The trend towards buying directly from operators seems to be gaining acceptance and lets us look at the future quite optimistically.”
