Honeywell has submitted documentation for European JAA engine approval. The company is continuing accelerated testing and documentation of its AS907 turbofan engine and the integrated propulsion system that will power Bombardier’s Continental business jet (now to be known as the Challenger 300).
“While the engine has successfully passed Part 33 certification, we are continuing to work closely with Bombardier on the Integrated Powerplant System Part 25 certification processes so that when we ship the first propulsion systems later this year, Bombardier will attach a fully certified propulsion system,” said Steve Loranger, president, Honeywell Engines Systems and Services.
