There’s a new show in town. ‘BIZZavia’ – dubbed the Global Business Aviation Fair – will take place at Messe Essen, Germany from April 7-9, 2003 and will incorporate a congress while focusing on all aspects of business aviation.

Messe Essen’s partner will be the German Business Aviation Association, whose job it will be

to help organise the congress programme and sign up the appropriate speakers.

“The expanding economic relationships between different regions, particularly within Europe and the prospective new EU countries, mean business travellers need a high degree of mobility, said Messe Essen’s chairman and ceo Dr. Joachim Henneke. “The reduction in travelling times for business passengers in all sectors and the associated increase in working times are all important goals.”

Not only will aircraft manufacturers, charterers, brokers and special fitters be displaying their wares, but also repair and maintenance services and ground handlers. Said a spokesman: “The spectrum of the exhibition will include financial and insurance services as well as the ranges offered by airports and lounge operators, hotel, hire car and limousine services, and even air ambulance operators.”

In addition to the presentation at the fair, aircraft manufacturers and fitters will have the opportunity to invite their customers to view aircraft and individual items of equipment at the nearby Essen/Müllheim airport.

The airport is centrally located in the Rhine-Ruhr region and say the organisers, offers good take-off, landing and processing facilities. During BIZZavia, the fair site will be linked by a shuttle service and vip limousines.
