NetJets has ordered 100 new Gulfstream G150 business jets for the company’s fractional aircraft ownership programme. Total value of the order, options and maintenance services is approx-imately $1.5 billion. Deliveries of the Gulfstream G150 to NetJets are scheduled to commence in 2005.

Richard Santulli, chairman and chief executive officer of NetJets, said: “Today, we offer 11 different aircraft types to chose from with six additional aircraft types being delivered in the next three years.”

What’s more, NetJets has also placed a $300 million order (including maintenance) with Cessna for one hundred new CitationJet 3s and 12 Citation Xs. Citation X deliveries will occur in 2004, and initial deliveries of the CJ3 will begin in 2005.

Once deliveries are completed, NetJets will have over 350 Citations in their fleet, plus another 100 that are covered by options.

And in further news, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Breeders’ Cup Limited and NetJets have announced that an agreement in principle has been reached for NetJets to become a marketing partner of the NTRA/Breeders’ Cup, the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships and the new international marketing alliance among the Breeders’ Cup, Ascot Racecourse in England and Longchamp Racecourse in France.

“We welcome NetJets as an important new corporate sponsor of top-class racing in Europe,” said Douglas Erskine-Crum, chief executive of the famous Ascot racecourse. “The company is a very logical first partner for the new alliance of NTRA/Breeders’ Cup, Ascot and Longchamp.”
