NetJets has signed a $1.5 billion agreement for 100 G150 aircraft, split between 50 firm orders and options for an additional 50. Gulfstream is currently developing the mid-size aircraft, which will offer a wide cabin and 2,700 nautical mile range. First deliveries are scheduled to enter into service in 2005, a spokesperson said: “The G150 will be able to fly from New York to Los Angeles non-stop in
just five hours and 50 minutes, saving one hour and 600 pounds of fuel over its nearest competitor.” The aircraft will be available in three configurations, capable of accommodating six to eight passengers.
The company has also unveiled a ‘new’ product line in an attempt to revitalise customer interest. The fleet now consists of the Gulfstream G550, G500, G400, G300, G200, G150 and G100. First deliveries for entry into service of the G300 and G400 (developed from the in-production GIV-SP) are scheduled for 2003.
Gulfstream president Bill Boisture said: “The new fleet will offer our customers the flexibility to choose from different option packages such as multiple cabin layouts and different avionics packages and cockpit technology.”
