Bombardier is working with a number of electronics experts, chiefly Thales Avionics, to develop the Bombardier Enhanced Vision System (BEVS) for the Global Express. The first Global equipped with the BEVS is scheduled to fly in the first quarter of 2003 and is expected to cost approximately $500,000.

It is intended that BEVS will offer enhanced visibility at greater distances in almost all weather conditions, day and night, improving situational awareness, safety and dispatch and mission completion rates.
