Cessna Aircraft has delivered the first Citation to the Swiss government’s Federal Office for Civil Aviation. The Citation Excel will be used for government and ministerial transportation.

“We chose the Excel for several reasons, but primarily because of its efficient operation in the European airspace,” a spokesperson for the Swiss government said.

“With its excellent reputation as a low maintenance aircraft, the Excel is a perfect fit for first time Citation customers,” said vice president Citation sales Mark Paolucci. “As the Excel continues to exceed customer expectations, we look forward to introducing even more European customers to the benefits of a Citation.”
