Fourteen members of the AOPA Monaco have taken part in a Piaggio Discovery Day, organised by former Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen, member and treasurer of the association and Piaggio dealer for Monaco, France and Belgium.

Fourteen members of the AOPA Monaco have taken part in a Piaggio Discovery Day, organised by former Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen, member and treasurer of the association and Piaggio dealer for Monaco, France and Belgium.

The members were invited to experience the P180 Avanti in flight and visit the Piaggio facilities in Genoa. A brand new P180 was been put at their disposal for the event after the members had been picked up at Cannes Airport.

They test-flew the aircraft on their way to Genoa and flew back to Cannes later in the day.

Boutsen commented: “The guests have been very impressed by the combination of speed and comfort. The Ferrari of the Sky offers a stand-up cabin for seven passengers and flies at 395 knots noise and vibration-free.”
