In the latter half of July, Medic’Air International’s Falcon 50 medevac aircraft took off urgently during

the night from Paris-Le Bourget to Saudi Arabia for its first mission. It took on board a three-member, reinforced medical team, including a psychiatric nurse.

Said a spokesman: “The patient was put into condition and picked up in Jeddah by medical team. The Falcon 50 took off again for a direct flight to Paris where a 45-minute technical stop allowed for the two pilots and the two nurses to be taken over.

“The aircraft then took off to Orlando, Florida via the North Atlantic route including a short 45 minute refuelling stop in Gander.”

In Orlando, the patient was accompanied to the hospital by medical team.

The appearance of the new Falcon 50 trijet increases to five the number of Medic’Air International-operated, Paris-based Falcons.

The spokesman added: “Its set-up and its specific conception offer medical teams easier boarding of patient, better in-flight following and more room for intensive and emergency care.

“It further satisfies the concept of ‘quick-transfer’ allowing Medic’Air International doctors to transfer from one aircraft to another the whole medical equipment (oxygen included) under 10 minutes during ‘Remote-Evac’ operations.”
