BGAD 03 promises seminars and aircraft display

We are pleased to announce that EBAN will be staging the second UK Business & General Aviation Day – BGAD03 – on Thursday July 10th, 2003. The venue will be Cambridge City Airport and the event will again be co-hosted by Marshall Aerospace.

Said event organiser Mark Ranger: “The first BGAD was a great success for exhibitors, visitors and sponsors alike. It was decided some time ago not to hold one this year, so that we would not conflict with other major UK events such as the Farnborough Air Show, but both Marshall Aerospace and ourselves were always keen to hold another BGAD.”

Avionics Mobile Services was one of the fifty exhibiting companies at the first BGAD and sales manager Kathy Thompson commented: “The first BGAD was both productive for our company and an enjoyable day. We’re certainly interested in taking part again.”

As well as exhibition booths, BGAD attracted a wide range of aircraft, from helicopters to Falcon jets, which is a good reflection on the type of aircraft used on business aviation missions in the UK. The airport terminal hosted an interesting and well attended set of presentations, including technical seminars and a meeting of the Business Aircraft Users Association.

BGAD03 will follow the model of the first event, with everything contained in a one day show,

but offering all of the elements of a ‘traditional’ business aviation event – an exhibition area, static aircraft display and valuable seminars and meetings.

“The first BGAD showed the need for smaller scale localised exhibitions, that any company can afford to attend, without having to tie-up considerable amounts of promotional budget and staff time. BGAD is intended to complement other shows such as EBACE,” Ranger added.

Full details, plans and prices for BGAD03 will be available later this autumn, but if you would like to register your interest in taking part, please contact Mark on +44 (0) 1279 714509 or email mark@ebanmagazine.com
