AOPA continues to support GAAC
During a board meeting on August 21, it was agreed that the General Aviation Awareness Council (GAAC) would retain its individual identity - owned and funded by the GA movement and its supporters - and that AOPA (the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) would continue to undertake background administrative support.

During a board meeting on August 21, it was agreed that the General Aviation Awareness Council (GAAC) would retain its individual identity - owned and funded by the GA movement and its supporters - and that AOPA (the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) would continue to undertake background administrative support. The latter agreement is conditional on some of the workload being spread more widely across the GA movement.

The GAAC Board will meet again in late October to confirm the appointments of new officers and to finalise the allocation of the many duties involved.

The GAAC has 77 GA organisations in membership and claims to be the only fully representative GA body in Europe.
