Europe's first CJ2 destined for Berlin

Berlin's Windrose Air will be the proud owners of Europe's first CJ2. The company has already ordered the aircraft and expects it to be delivered by summer 2001.

When EBAN caught up with Windrose, the charter company had just taken delivery of its newest aircraft - a Citation Bravo. The aircraft was bought from fellow Germans Atlas Air Service, who had picked it up from Wichita just a short while previously.

Windrose's Dorothee Waggad said: "We chose the Bravo because it is a very good aircraft, bought at a very good price, and is particularly suitable for our clients."

Among the company's charter clients are businessmen, politicians and artists, who will be using the new aircraft to fly from Belarus and the Ukraine in Europe's East to France and the UK in the West. In particular, said Waggad, a lot of business clients will be flying to Poland each week, where they have founded new companies.

With a seating capacity of seven to eight passengers, Windrose's Bravo is available at a cost of DM4,000 per hour.

Additional to the Windrose charter line-up are a CitationJet (delivered in February, 2000), a Lear 60 and Citations I and II.
