Airport developers slam "anti-competitive" stance of rivals
Developers of Doncaster Finningly Airport in the UK, have hit back at a new report, commissioned by existing airports in Sheffield, Leeds Bradford and Humberside. The report claims there is no shortage of capacity in Yorkshire and Humber and that a fourth airport would find it difficult to achieve financial viability. Neil Pakey, commercial director at Peel Holdings, the company behind the proposals for Doncaster Finningly said: "The stance taken by these other airports is to keep out new entrants, their position can at best be described as anti-competitive."
