Ray Edwards has been named senior vice president, production, to manage all aircraft and component production, at Fairchild Dornier.

As part of this role, Edwards will manage the ongoing production and assembly of the 328JET, taking charge not only of operations in Germany, but also the 328JET wing production programme in San Antonio, Texas.

Edwards joins Fairchild after 19 years with British Aerospace where he held a number of assignments including manager of BAe-146 flight test and production.

He reports to John Wolf, executive vice president and chief operating officer, and is based in Oberpfaffenhofen.
