A Boeing 727-100-REW, which Bombardier has taken in trade for a Global Express, is on the 'bonus list' and therefore exempt from European airport curfews and nosie surcharges. The Boeing is reported to be the only executive 727-100 in the world that meets the proposed 2002 EU noise and emission standards, as a result of its Rolls Royce Tay 651-54 engines.
This is the first time that this model of Boeing has been traded on a Global Express, Bombardier reports. The client has not been disclosed. The Boeing 727-100-REW is exclusively represented by Universal Jet Trading of Rockville, Maryland.
