DPS Composites (Aerospace) has opened a new factory in Pembrokeshire in Wales. With 12 years' experience in the motor sport industry, DPS moved into aerospace products in 1998. It has a three year plan to double in size and the 25,000-square-foot factory is integral to this growth. Funding for the building was partly provided by the Welsh Development Agency: DPS says it has brought important employment opportunities to the region.
The new facility will be dedicated to DPS' aerospace work, and will cater for any component required, DPS says, from one-offs to ten year production contracts. Said financial director Mark Hilsdon: "We are delighted to confirm our commitment to our clients and the aerospace industry with the opening of our Welsh facility. We now feel confident that we are the most efficient, and cost-effective player in this arena."
