Bombardier has launched a performance enhancement programme (PEP) for its Global Express because, it says, aircraft are leaving its completion centres with weightier interiors than originally planned for. New production aircraft are expected to have the modifications incorporated by Q1 2001, while in-service aircraft are being freely retrofitted while they check in for maintenance. By virtue of the PEP, Global Express director Luc Fouquette says the aircraft's range will be restored to its original maximum of 6,500nm at 0.8 Mach.
