Swiss operator offers Lear 45 for charter as Global Express is targeted for 2001
Avcon, the Swiss aircraft management company founded in 1988, is continuing its successful expansion. A new Lear 45 has recently been added to the fleet. The Zurich-based aircraft is outfitted with features such as Airshow and DVD to provide up to eight passengers with what the company calls "the best possible equipment for their travel needs". Though operated mainly for the owner, it will also be available for charter flights.

Says ceo Fred Muggli: "The Lear 45 is exactly the aircraft our customer was looking for. We're happy that the plane is now flying and performing very well."

Currently Avcon is operating over 45 aircraft under full and partial management contracts, ranging from the Cessna CitationJet up to the Gulfstream GV. Additionally to the Lear 45, the company's charter department offers flights with Challenger 604 and HS 125-800. In its 12 years of presence in the aviation field, Avcon says it has gained a reputation as a high-quality and service-focused partner.

A spokesman said: "Growth doesn't stop here. It is expected that in the near future planes like the Global Express and the Canadair SE will become members of the Avcon management fleet family in the very near future.

"Eagerly awaited by the charter sales people and planned for delivery in 2001 is another Global Express which will be licensed for commercial operation."
