Aerospatiale Matra Socata's headquarters and factory at Tarbes near Lourdes will be the venue for the fourth European meeting of Socata owners on September 9-10. Mike Pearce, managing director of Air Touring Limited, the Biggin Hill Airport-based UK and Ireland distributor for Aerospatiale Matra Socata, says that over 500 people are expected to attend the fly-in. Visitors will have meals at a nearby chateau and vineyard, see classic Socata aircraft, and during a factory tour have the opportunity to see the new diesel engine and have a go on a Jaguar aircraft simulator.
