Dunlop flees congested Heathrow for fresh pastures
Dunlop Aviation Services (DAS) has relocated its wheel and tyre maintenance facility to its factory in Coventry, UK. Said DAS director Bob Davies: "Conditions have changed since we set up the plant at Heathrow 30 years ago. Our customers are based all around the country, not just the London airports, so it makes sense to take advantage of the facilities at Coventry. "Traffic in the Heathrow complex was becoming unbearable, the unit too small and there were difficulties in meeting environmental regulations," he added.
