Viessmann Werke GmbH is a private corporation based at Allendorf, Germany. The company's flight department took delivery of a Citation V Excel in December, 1999.

The aircraft replaces the CitationJet formerly owned by the company, and joins its older Citation V.

The company has its own 1,100- metre airfield at Allendorf. According to Wolfgang Stange, chief pilot at Viessmann Werke, the corporation's Citations fly mainly in central Europe, with the occasional visit to Turkey.

"There are four basic config-urations for the Excel," Stange told EBAN. "Ours has eight passenger seats with one foldable seat in the back. Executives are certainly preferring the Citation V to the CitationJet; you cannot compare the two. The advantage is the room, exactly as the Cessna customer survey revealed: more space and more comfort."
