Swiss GV operator looks to Hawker 800 for Mediterranean flights
GV Executive Charter has recently added a Hawker 125-800, available now for charter. EBAN spoke to Peter Fried, ceo, about the new aircraft: "We bought a Hawker 125-800 for our shorter range trips to Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East. It is configured for eight passengers and three crew, and is very vip, with all the cabin extras you can have today; airshow, DVD, video facilities.

GV Executive Charter has recently added a Hawker 125-800, available now for charter. EBAN spoke to Peter Fried, ceo, about the new aircraft:

"We bought a Hawker 125-800 for our shorter range trips to Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East. It is configured for eight passengers and three crew, and is very vip, with all the cabin extras you can have today; airshow, DVD, video facilities.

"The aircraft is identically coloured and designed to the GV, maintaining our corporate identity. We usually carry cabin attendants on the Hawker 800 as well, so it has pretty high service standards," he said.

"Our clientele sometimes requires an aircraft for European, short-range flights, and also the GV is too big, too expensive, and is hardly available for those short trips since it is travelling all the time around the world.

"The Hawker 800 offers the best cabin comfort and most reliable aircraft for the money. We think of the Hawker as a small airliner, and that is best suited for our type of operations. Business has been strong on the long range market and not too bad on the Hawker. I would say things are steady," Fried concluded.

GV Executive Charter, as its name suggests, has been operating a Gulfstream V for more than two years; In February of this year, it had notched up a total of 2,000 flying hours.
