Husky Injection Moulding Systems of Luxembourg has just received a brand new Learjet 45. EBAN contacted Celine Gabrielle, flight department assistant at the company, to discuss the aircraft's intra-European role.
Sporting a nine-seat con-figuration, Gabrielle said that the Learjet is being used to link Husky's regional centres across Europe to its headquarters in Luxembourg.
"We have bases in several countries, so each region requires the jet's services," she said.
The Learjet is the company's only aircraft: "We used to have an old Citation I.
"The reason we have bought the Learjet 45 is that it has a longer range. For example, we can make flights to Cairo without refuelling: In fact, that was the first flight the new aircraft made, to assess work in progress in Cairo."
Gabrielle added that the aircraft was currently extremely busy, flying almost every day.
As yet there is no time for the aircraft to be offered for charter, it will continue to exclusively support the company's operations.
