New Piper distributor welcomes Scottish rep
Anglo American Airmotive exhibited four new Pipers on the ramp at Dundee last week to launch the appointment of Brian Galt, Edinburgh businessman, as representative for Anglo American Airmotive and New Piper Aircraft in Scotland. The aircraft on show were the twin engined Seneca V, single engined Arrow, Malibu Mirage and Archer III. The latter will be based at Dundee as it has been purchased by Mr Galt as a demonstrator. Prospective customers were invited to inspect the aircraft and demonstration flights were also provided.

Prospective customers were invited to inspect the aircraft and demonstration flights were also provided.\rThe New Piper representation includes the appointment of Tayside Aviation as a Piper Service Centre for Scotland. Tayside Aviation already provides service support for a number of Piper aircraft between its Perth and Dundee engineering facilities.\rThe priciest aircraft on display was the $870,000 Malibu Mirage, which is pressurised to fly above the weather at 25,000 feet and is used for personal or business transport.\rAnglo American Airmotive says for the past few years, demand has outstripped supply and there is a waiting list for most of the Piper range of nine models. A spokesman said: "This year, Anglo American Airmotive is on course to top 30 new sales including seven new Malibu Mirages.
