IAOPA plays its part in formation of JAR OPS 2
The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA), which for the last 38 years has supported the business, private and sports aviation interest at ICAO, ECAC, European Commission, European Parliament, Eurocontrol and JAA level, has been tasked with the writing of seven subparts of JAR OPS 2.

The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA), which for the last 38 years has supported the business, private and sports aviation interest at ICAO, ECAC, European Commission, European Parliament, Eurocontrol and JAA level, has been tasked with the writing of seven subparts of JAR OPS 2.\rNBAA, IAOPA and other general aviation representatives are discussing this rule for the corporate aviation and aerial work community together with the NAAs, to find a solution which will guarantee the future of this mode of transport in Europe.\r"In addition," said Dieter Pade, director technical and political affairs, "on request of the JAA ops committee, we are preparing a study to give relief to smaller/medium enterprises on the burden of implementing JAR OPS 1. This study is currently ongoing."
