JetRanger to watch Norway's roads
Helikopterdrift AS of Klofta, Norway, has expanded its helicopter fleet with the acquisition of a Bell JetRanger. Gerle Thyness, owner of Helikopterdrift, purchased the aircraft in July, registered it in September, and is currently awaiting its return from Sweden, where it is being fitted with a vip interior. He currently flies a Robinson R44 for traffic-watch duties. Thyness bought the JetRanger to support a new contract with TV2, one of the two biggest television stations in Norway, for traffic-watch use. The new, larger helicopter will also be used for business charter flights.
