Oxaero, the Oxford based air charter company, has recently added the Cessna CitationJet to its AOC. The company believes that it is the first UK AOC operator to receive approval for charter operations on the C525. The aircraft is used primarily for business charter, and is leased from Airshare. It flew its first flight for Oxaero, to Amsterdam, in the first week of October.\r"The C525 is very similar to the Citation I in theory, but the passengers who have been aboard like it - they do notice the difference," said managing director Alex Durand. "With the changes to instrumentation necessitated by the new RSVM rules, it's time we operated a more modern aircraft.\r"We have been surprised at how buoyant the market is. We were expecting a recession a year ago, and we've had a better year than ever. I see no reason for this to change. The customers we fly appreciate the service more as the rest of the transport system clogs up".
