DaimlerChrysler signs up Lufthansa Technik
Lufthansa Technik has signed a deal to provide the maintenance, repair and overhaul work for DaimlerChrysler Aviation's Airbus A319 corporate jetliner. The contract was signed at NBAA this year by Frank Rosler, president of DaimlerChrysler Aviation and Wolfgang Mayrhuber, chairman of LHT. The Stuttgart-based company will be entrusting maintenance management, MRO services, engineering tasks and personnel support to LHT, and will have access to LHT's materials pool. DaimlerChrysler will be taking delivery of the ACJ in December. The aircraft is to be used for corporate shuttle flights five times a week between its main locations at Stuttgart and Auburn Hills, Michigan.
