Passenger lounge to open at Vienna
Austrian charter operator Grossmann Air Service will be marking its 10th anniversary by celebrating the opening of a new passenger lounge at Vienna Airport. The 70 square-metre lounge will offer seating, refresh-ments and conference facilities and is said to be the next step in the company's move to become the market-leading business aviation operator in central Europe. Grossmann Air Service says that the Austrian national government will be represented at the official opening of the new facilities in early September, together with vips from the business and media worlds. The event will also allow visitors to see the two aircraft that currently star in the operator's fleet - a Learjet 55 and a Challenger 600.

The lounge, which was formerly a storage room, will contain a bar, sofas and seats, and a conference table. Clients using the facility will also be able to take advantage of telephones, a fax machine and a computer with internet connection. "This new form of customer service is unique within Austrian business aviation companies," says a Grossmann Air Service spokesman. "By this means we are once again showing our concern for passengers by providing the same luxury both on board and on the ground."
