RF Saywell has acquired the Aerocontracts and Flightspares operations in the UK and Flightspares International operations in the US. The acquisition includes distributorship agreements together with various airline inventories. Negotiations took three months to complete, according to Saywell, and were tied up on September 24. "The takeover greatly enhances our already extensive business and for customers it means the provision of service at a higher level," said a spokesman for Saywell. "Saywell needed to move into other markets. We have now added support capability for current BAe, Boeing, Airbus, Britten Norman and Shorts range of aircraft." Saywell has also applied for JAR 21 approval for the manufacture of hoses. The CAA is to visit Saywell on behalf of the JAA before the middle of October, and certification is said to be "a formality."
