Raytheon Aircraft Company (RAC) has announced the appointment of Hansel E. Tookes II as president and chief operating officer. Tookes will report to Arthur E. Wegner, Raytheon executive vice president and RAC's chairman and chief executive officer. It is planned that Tookes will become ceo of the company within six months, and chairman following Wegner's retirement. Wegner said: "I have worked with Hansel in the aerospace industry for many years and witnessed his accomplishments first hand. I look forward to working with him again." Tookes was a pilot for United Airlines and a naval aviator flying Orions. He joined United Technol-ogies Corporation in 1980 and held increasingly responsible leadership positions at its Norden Systems and Hamilton Standard Division of the company, including executive vice president of aircraft products, and vp of business planning.
