Raytheon aircraft ups production of latest business jets
Raytheon Aircraft Company is increasing annual production rates of its two new business jets, the Premier I and the Hawker Horizon, by 25 and 50 per cent respectively. 60 entry-level Premier I's and 34 super mid-size Hawker Horizons will be produced each year because of strong sustained market demand.

"Customers are responding to the benefits of composite technology: Increased cabin size, speed and reliability." The Premier I business jet features composite technology, allowing extra inches on the fuselage and a maximum speed of 461 KTAS (530 sm/h). Its range is 1,500 nm and can take off in less than 3,000 feet. 200 Premier I's are on order, and the number of aircraft participating in the certification programme will soon be increasing from two to four. Hawker Horizon certification and initial deliveries are scheduled for 2001. Its range will be 3,100 nm at Mach .82. A maximum range of 3,400 nm provides transatlantic capability. Both aircraft will be delivered with a comprehensive customer support package.
