Privatefly to enhance its online platform for operators

Online private jet booking network, PrivateFly.com, has appointed Alex Nott to the new role of website manager. This follows hot-on-the-heels of the recent partnership announcement with lastminute.com, where PrivateFly will provide online search and booking services for private jet charter through the online travel retailer.

Nott brings over 10 years' experience in online travel industry roles, most recently as marketing manager at Railbookers, and prior to that she worked for Online Travel Company managing a portfolio of travel websites including ferrybooker.com, onlinetravel.com and a2btravel.com.

Nott's key objectives at PrivateFly will be to improve site usability for customers and to further streamline the process for operators – optimising the marketing benefits of the platform, and making it much easier for operators to quote and search for flights.

PrivateFly is a unique business model in the private jet industry, bringing the online search and booking functionality, already commonplace in other corporate travel sectors, to the private jet charter market. The company is currently undergoing expansion plans following its successful first round of investment funding earlier this year, and will also be appointing an experienced travel industry sales professional to join the sales team.

Carol Cork, marketing director of PrivateFly, commented: "Alex's appointment is a significant step forward in our expansion plans. Her online travel experience gives us invaluable best practice from other travel sectors and will allow us to further enhance the online experience for charter operators, making it even quicker and easier for them to market their aircraft to potential customers."

Alex Nott added: "It's exciting to be joining PrivateFly at such a key time for the business. I am looking forward to meeting with as many aircraft operators as possible, to get valuable feedback and understand the exact requirements to meet the needs of the industry and improve the efficiency of PrivateFly's platform."
