Southeast Aerospace introduces new Connectivity Cockpit Controller, streamlines cockpit connectivity management with Mid Continent Flex

Southeast Aerospace, a leading avionics and instrument modifications and repair station based in Melbourne, Florida, is pleased to announce the launch of the Connectivity Cockpit Controller, designed to simplify in-flight connectivity management for aircraft models equipped with Gogo Galileo and/or Avance systems.

The cockpit controller is powered by Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics' Flex, a first-of-its-kind unit that can be customised to meet the needs of virtually any application.

Developed in partnership with Mid-Continent, the new cockpit controller enhances pilot awareness and simplifies operations. It features integrated custom software that controls key systems, including Wi-Fi, Galileo data and air-to-ground communication. Additionally, the custom controller features the ability to display actual connectivity system status in the cockpit.

The Connectivity Cockpit Controller offers pilots a simple and cost-effective way to manage their aircraft's connectivity systems by consolidating essential functions into one device, keeping pilots informed and operations running smoothly throughout the flight. The Connectivity Cockpit Controller provides control of five essential functions, namely Wi-Fi (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz), connectivity data, connectivity transmit and air-to-ground, into a single, intuitive interface. Real-time connectivity monitoring ensures pilots are always informed of system status, with clear updates on connectivity data available, air-to-ground data available and router status. By eliminating the need for multiple annunciators, this innovative solution reduces both installation complexity and costs while improving cockpit efficiency.

The Connectivity Cockpit Controller is designed for easy installation with minimal cockpit disruption. Its 2” round mounting hole and included TSO clock functionality allow it to seamlessly replace an existing cockpit clock, eliminating the need for additional holes or modifications. It can also be installed in a new location if the aircraft is not equipped with a dedicated clock. By consolidating multiple annunciators and switches into a single unit, pilots no longer need to manage several switches or indicators to control their connectivity systems. Instead of just seeing a single notice on an annunciator, the controller provides real-time status updates, allowing pilots to quickly understand system performance. This integration simplifies cockpit operations, reduces components and offers a practical, cost-effective solution

While it will be initially certified for installation on Hawker aircraft under SEA's STC, the controller will also be available to all aircraft models, offering a flexible and scalable solution for a wide range of operators.

"We're excited to offer a solution that equips pilots and technicians with a controller that not only provides several system control functions but gives operational status and health of the multi-bearing internet systems on the aircraft," said Luke Gomoll, aircraft modification sales representative at Southeast Aerospace. "The Connectivity Cockpit Controller represents a step forward in providing more control, clearer status updates and a smoother in-flight experience for everyone involved.”

With its simple installation, seamless integration and ability to consolidate multiple connectivity functions, Connectivity Cockpit Controller is the ideal solution for operators seeking to enhance cockpit efficiency and connectivity management.
