Le Castellet International Airport is full

At the beginning of July, Le Castellet International Airport is pleased and proud to announce that for the first time since it was rebuilt, the airport is fully occupied.

Le Castellet International Airport proposes hangars to shelter planes for a few hours, a day, a week or a month, as well as some 60 000 sq m of parking area. to offer an 'à la carte' service to business jet owners or pilots.

The first days of July will become a reference in the airport traffic and service evolution. As a matter of fact, between the 1st and the 4th the airport traffic has established its record of movements: 215 in a four-day period from which 80 on the sole Sunday July 4th.

At the same time, the five hangars have been fully occupied with airplanes from Cessna Caravan to Citation (CJ 2, C510 Mustang) and Gulfstream 200, 450, 550 as well as Global Express. Some of them were even on stand-by on the parking area waiting for a place in a hangar.

Also permanently at the airport: an acrobatics plane the Extra 300, a Sukhoï and an Albatros L39. Not to be forgotten the Ecureuil AS350 B3 helicopter from the SDIS (Service D'Incendie et de Secours - fire fighter), which is based at the airport all summer long.

Gérard Neveu, director of Le Castellet International Airport since February 2010 (and also director of the Paul Ricard circuit), with his complete team at the airport, has launched at the beginning of the year, a new marketing strategy as well as a new pricelist and the development of different services for airport users. 'Our strategy seems to be going to the right direction, even if the current general economic situation, calls up to a certain caution'.
