Wyvern welcomes Jet 1 as new Wingman operator

Jet 1, an aircraft sales, charter and management business headquartered in Naples, Florida, has secured its designation as Wyvern's newest Wingman certified operator through a recent audit. The Wyvern Wingman standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides the gold standard in safety that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.

“Jet 1 is proud to have achieved Wyvern Wingman status. Wyvern Wingman represents the highest level of safety and risk management in aviation, which aligns with the culture that we have at Jet 1. Luxurious flights, unforgettable experiences and trips of a lifetime are only possible when safety is of paramount importance. At Jet 1, safety is our number one priority. Wyvern's training, consulting and tools enable Jet 1 to maintain and improve our culture of safety as we continue to grow,” proclaims Keaton Phillips, president of Jet 1.

Wyvern Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

“Wyvern congratulates Jet 1 on earning Wyvern Wingman operator certification. As a Wyvern Wingman operator, Jet 1 is set apart from other operators in the air charter industry. This achievement validates its commitment to attaining and maintaining an enduring safety culture that elevates its performance above other operators who are just beginning to embrace the value of formal safety risk management,” says Andrew Day, Wyvern's senior vice president, operations.
