Eclipse Aerospace (EA), manufacturer of the world's first Very Light Jet (VLJ), announced today the launch of its first Platinum Service Center in Europe for Eclipse EA500 aircraft service, maintenance and modifications. Located in Istanbul, Turkey, Eclipse Aerospace General Aviation A.S. will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) support for Eclipse EA500 operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"We are very excited to offer our customers in Europe local capacity for service and modifications," said Ken Ross, President of the Eclipse Aerospace Service Division. "Eclipse Aerospace General Aviation A.S. is one of the best facilities in the region and offers complete MRO capability. Our customers in Europe and surrounding areas will now be able to receive the same complete service experience found in our U.S. facilities located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Chicago, Illinois."

Eclipse Aerospace General Aviation's facility at ?stanbul's Ataturk International Airport is located at the General Aviation facility that is dedicated to private jets. This facility will provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including AVIO and FIKI upgrades, Aircraft On Ground (AOG) and Mobile Response Team (MRT) support. The Platinum Service Center will be the support location for a network of Gold Level Service Providers throughout Europe and the Middle East as the Eclipse fleet expands in the future.

Eclipse Aerospace Executive Vice President Europe Ekim Alptekin is heading the regional effort and managing the facility. Alptekin said, "Our experienced technicians are certified to service EA500 aircraft in accordance with FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. For Eclipse Jets that are flying in our area of operation, the center offers a convenient opportunity to receive the same level of service for the same price as they get in our facilities in the United States."
