Russian Helicopters hands over batch of Mi-8MTV-1 to Gazpromavia

Russian Helicopters has handed over three Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant (KHZ) to Natspromleasing-Invest LLC . The vehicles will be operated by Gazpromavia.

The helicopters have been equipped with an onboard boom with a winch. In addition, the aircraft are equipped with an external cable suspension for the transportation of bulky cargo weighing up to four tons. There are 20 passenger seats in the helicopter cabins.

"The multipurpose Mi-8MTV-1, delivered under the contract with Natspromleasing-Invest, can perform various types of aviation work. The reliability and unpretentiousness of the Mi-8/17 series helicopters have been confirmed by more than half a century of experience in operating these machines around the world," said the managing director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Alexei Belykh .

There are 45 Mi-8 series helicopters in Gazpromavia's aircraft fleet, including the Mi-8T and Mi-8MTV-1 for search and rescue operations and in the passnger version manufactured by Kazan Helicopters.

The multipurpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters have high flight performance and can be used around the clock in the most difficult climatic conditions. These machines are capable of carrying a wide range of specialised equipment, including onboard medical modules, which ensures the fulfillment of tasks depending on the current needs of the operator.
