Transport Canada awards STC for four-blade MT propeller on Viking Air DHC-2T Mk3

MT-Propeller is happy to announce, following an excellent cooperation with Viking Air Ltd, the following STC is issued by Transport Canada; STC Nr. SA20-49 for the installation of the four-blade MTV-16-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR240-55a MT-Propeller on the Viking DHC-2TMk3 Turbo Beaver powered by the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-27 or -34 engine.

The advantages of the propeller installation on the Turbo Beaver are:

- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation

- Bonded on nickel alloy leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades

- Improved take off performance

- Improved ground clearance for less FOD

- Reduced outside and inside noise

- Unlimited blade life, especially for water and sea plane operation

- Best weight to price ratio in the industry

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to seven-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5,000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.
