Paragon Aviation Group announces 2019 Member Awards

Paragon Aviation Group has announced its three recipients for the 2019 Network Member Awards at NBAA-BACE 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first award is voted on annually by Paragon network member FBOs who choose the FBO that demonstrated outstanding commitment to the network through continuous dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism. The 2019 Paragon Network FBO Member of The Year was awarded to Odyssey Aviation Bahamas based in Nassau, BAH (MYNN) and Exuma, BAH (MYEF).

Odyssey Aviation Bahamas has exhibited the above-mentioned qualities by consistently ensuring that each customer's visit is flawless, participating at a high level, actively sharing best practices, and serving as a role model and mentor to other Paragon members. With Hurricane Dorian hitting the Bahamas this year, Odyssey Aviation was even more worthy of this prestigious award because of the tremendous relief efforts it provided. Serving as a fully-functioning evacuation centre, disaster relief logistics centre and an evacuee welcome centre, Odyssey Aviation worked countless hours to get aircraft in and out transporting people, medical supplies, food and other necessities. It is without a doubt, that the Bahamian lives saved during this national disaster was due in part to the outstanding efforts of the team at Odyssey Aviation.

The second award, FBO Manager of the Year, is voted on by Paragon Aviation Group's corporate team. This year's recipient was Julie O'Brien, general manager at ProJet Aviation (KJYO). “Julie goes above and beyond from hosting our Leadership Meeting this year to sponsoring the annual Aviation Education Expo that provides scholarships to students,” said Megan Barnes, president of Paragon Aviation Group. “She also had a pivotal role in organising her base tenants to help with the Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. Julie is an asset to our network and is so well-liked by all, that she was also voted as the MVP of the Leadership Meeting by her peers.”

The winner of the 2019 Award of Excellence, also voted on by the members, went to Angela Flores, customer service supervisor at FlightLevel Aviation at Quonset State Airport (KOQU). “There is always a lot of competition for this prestigious award which is why it is so deserving that it goes to Angela,” said Scott Jefvert, director of sales for Paragon Aviation Group. “She is an active participant in our monthly CSM calls, very responsive to her customers' needs and always willing to help her fellow FBO members with customer service questions.”
