Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services Inc. completes Garmin G700 TXi STC for Citation aircraft

Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services Inc. has announced STC ST01929WI for the Garmin G700 TXi and added another option for Citation aircraft. Delivering this system with newly released software allows operators to interface to existing TCAS II systems or the Garmin GTS 8000 TCAS II & GTX 3000 Transponders with Columbia Avionics STC ST01691WI. Incorporating Dual GTN 750 products will greatly modernise the cockpit and enhances the safety of the aircraft.

The existing gyros, radar and flight instruments will all be replaced. The newly designed system includes new Dual GRS 79 AHRS, GWX 75 Radar, Dual GDC 7400 Air Data Computers with RVSM, MD-302 Standby Attitude Module (SAM) and options for GDL-69/A XM Weather, GSR-56 satellite phone and traffic interface options. The weight savings of this new equipment can provide the operator with over 200 lbs of additional useful load for the aircraft.

The Garmin G700 TXi capabilities provide features like intuitive touchscreen operation, graphical flight planning, victor airway and high-altitude jet route navigation, SafeTaxi and more. Modernising the aircraft with this new state of the art technology reduces the pilots work load, provides safety and aircraft value. Garmin SVT synthetic vision technology is a standard feature on G700 TXi systems. SVT provides a virtual perspective view of ground and water features, obstacles and traffic shown in relative proximity to your aircraft.

The Mid-Continent Instruments & Avionics MD-302 SAM can be installed in any serial number Cessna Citation 500, 550, S550, 560 including Primus 1000 airplanes.
