Constant Aviation lets attendees sit in pilot's seat and experience 604XT next generation flight deck at NBAA-BACE

NBAA-BACE attendees can now experience the Nextant Aerospace 604XT next generation flight deck in the convention hall. That's because Nextant Aerospace has partnered with Constant Aviation to design and build a unique, fully functioning 604XT light deck demonstrator that will be available to take for a flight at the Constant Aviation booth, #C10617 in the Central Hall at NBAA-BACE, Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas.

“We invite Challenger 604 owners, operators and prospective buyers to stop by the booth to experience how a 604XT flight deck upgrade can significantly improve their aircraft's situational awareness, navigation capability and enhanced safety while eliminating the aircraft's looming Pro Line 4 obsolescence issues,” said Steve Bruce, 604XT programme director for Nextant Aerospace.

The 604XT next generation flight deck significantly improves Challenger 604 capability and functionality by integrating flight attitude, flight management, synthetic vision and aircraft system functionality into three next generation, large format, lightweight, high resolution, LCD touchscreen displays that replace the aircraft's six obsolete, small format, heavy, low resolution cathode ray displays.

“We decided to bring the 604XT flight deck indoors to reward customers who are interested in maximising their convention center experience,” said Bruce. “The demonstrator replicates the layout and feel of a 604XT by positioning functioning Pro Line Fusion touchscreen displays, cursor control panel, and multifunction keyboard panel in front of a Challenger pilot seat. Users can adjust altitude and approach angles to simulate approaches into their favorite airports for a truly authentic experience.”

It is important to note that ATN B1 CPDLC for European operations can only be achieved with the 604XT Flight Deck. Other options include the popular MultiScan Weather Radar, XM Graphic Weather, FANS 1/A+, and Safe Flight AutoPower. The 604XT flight deck baseline package includes WAAS/LVP navigation and ADS-B Out compliance.
